{"id":64,"date":"2009-05-27T20:44:51","date_gmt":"2009-05-27T19:44:51","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/lendl.priv.at\/blog\/2009\/05\/27\/a-new-feature-for-this-blog\/"},"modified":"2026-01-26T12:16:26","modified_gmt":"2026-01-26T11:16:26","slug":"a-new-feature-for-this-blog","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/lendl.priv.at\/blog\/2009\/05\/27\/a-new-feature-for-this-blog\/","title":{"rendered":"A new feature for this blog"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.motherjones.com\/kevin-drum\">Kevin Drum<\/a> does &#8220;Friday cat-blogging&#8221;, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.balloon-juice.com\/\">John Cole<\/a> has also pictures of pets between serious posts, so I thought I do something similar.<\/p>\n<p>So, from now on this blog will feature <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Wooden_toy_train\">wooden train tracks<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" id=\"image65\" src=\"https:\/\/lendl.priv.at\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/05\/img_6971.JPG\" alt=\"Clemens Track\" \/><\/p>\n<p>They are actually toys for the kids. When we first got them, Clemens didn&#8217;t quite know what to do with them, but now he finally starts to build his own tracks and trains to push along.<\/p>\n<p>And then there is the menace of land of trains: Godzilla, the destroyer of tracks:<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" id=\"image66\" src=\"https:\/\/lendl.priv.at\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/05\/img_7091.JPG\" alt=\"Elena engine\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Anyway, as with a good number of stuff kids get from their parents, it&#8217;s not all selfless giving. (Andrea is looking forward to buy Clemens a <a href=\"http:\/\/www.carrera-toys.de\/index.php\">Carrerabahn<\/a>, as she always wanted to have one as a kid.) Sometimes it&#8217;s nice to have an excuse for playing with children&#8217;s toys again.<\/p>\n<p>So I&#8217;ve taken up building fancy sets of tracks with Clemens&#8217; wooden tracks.<\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;ve started to photograph my creations some time ago and will now upload them. I&#8217;ll date the blog posts accordingly, so some of the entries will appear in the past.
